Do you really know how to forward e-mails? 50% of us do ; 50% do NOT.
Do you wonder why you get viruses or junk mail?
Do you hate it?
Every time you forward an e-mail there is information left over from the people who got the message before you, namely their e-mail addresses.
As the messages get forwarded along, the list of addresses builds, and builds, and builds, and all it takes is for some poor individual to get a virus, and his (her) computer can send that virus to every e-mail address that has come across his computer.
Or, someone can take all of those addresses and sell them or send junk mail to them in the hopes that you will go to the site and he will make five cents for each hit.
That's right, all of that inconvenience over a nickel!
How do you stop it?
Well, there are two easy steps:
1) When you forward an e-mail, DELETE all of the other addresses that appear in the body of the message. That's right, DELETE them. Highlight them and delete them, backspace them, cut them, whatever it is you know how to do. It only takes a second. You MUST click the "Forward" button first, then you will have full editing capabilities against the body and headers of the message. If you don't click on "Forward" first, you won't be able to edit the message at all.
2) Whenever you send an e-mail to more than one person, do NOT use the To: or CC: columns for adding e-mail address. Always use the BCC: (blind carbon copy) column for listing the e-mail addresses. This is the way that people you send to on! ly see their own e-mail address. If you don't see your BCC: option click on where it says To: and your address list will appear. Highlight the address and choose BCC: and that's it, it's that easy.When you send to BCC: in this manner, your message will automatically say "Undisclosed Recipients" in the "TO:" field of the people who receive it.
So please, in the future, let's stop the junk mail and the viruses!...”

Dennis Rodman...what a mess this guy is

A judge signed an arrest warrant Wednesday for former arraignment on two alleged traffic violations for the colorful Rodman. A Court Administrator said no effort would be made to seek out and arrest Rodman. "But if he shows up again in Colorado, we'll pick him up."

I can't believe I cheered for this guy when he played for the Bulls. Such talent put to use in all the wrong places...

Morning, yo.

Got up and figured since I could walk and was semi conscious, I would call and give you my review of the Stones show last night....then I realized I didn't have much of a voice. So herein lies the print virgin. version.

The Stones show KICKED ASS! First off....we all know Jagger isn't the face of Maybelline but I just couldn't stop looking at his ABS! For the love of god, you gotta appreciate the way he can move on stage! His antics are just a hoot.

I thought Keith Richards was the walking dead until he did lead on a couple tunes - outstanding!
The COOLEST part was when the stage starting moving.....all the way to the back of the arena. I thought it was funny that the front row maniacs were now in the back row.

From the opening Start Me Up to the $3.75 bottle of water to the closing Its Only Rock and Roll.....I LIKED IT!

Big Brother 6 – Another Head of Household Competition Controversy

From reality tv magazine: In the most recent head of household competition, there was ironically another number change controversy. Houseguests were asked “In the veto competition Goal For It, how many hockey pucks were in the red bin?” April Lewis clearly waited and watched for Janelle to write down her number first. In this head of household competition, the houseguests were not blocked from seeing each other, so it could have been possible for April to get an idea of what number Janelle wrote down by watching her hand movements.
Houseguests were given chalkboards where they could only write on one side (probably to try to prevent a re-occurrence of the number flipping controversy). This time it was April that changed her answer from what she originally wrote down. Janelle flips her chalkboard to reveal the number 85. April flips her chalkboard to reveal a number that is barely legible. April asks Julie, “Can you read that?” Julie responds “Why don’t you tell me?” But before April can answer the question, Julie says “I think you wrote 100.” April shakes her head yes, and Julie announces that the correct answer is “155 pucks.”
Part of the controversy is that April’s number could have easily been interpreted as 80, 100, or 180. Was it fair to allow April to write down a confusing number and then only commit after seeing Janelle’s answer? While the chalkboard does appear as if 100 was intended to be the final answer, the fact that April wrote her numbers on top of each other gave her the opportunity to change her answer based on Janelle’s number. After seeing Janelle’s number revealed as 85, it would make sense for April to agree that her number was 100. If April wanted to clearly change her number, then why didn’t she just strike through her original answer and write the new number below. Because of the confusing manner in which April wrote her number, many Janelle fans feel that Julie should have thrown out that question and done another tiebreaker.
As the credits roll, the houseguests are talking about the answers in the head of household competition. April and Janelle can be heard discussing what would have happened if they had tied by writing down the same number. April also apparently says something along the lines of “I was writing 85 period. I was not going higher than that.” Evidently something did change April’s mind though to make her go higher. Might it have been that she caught a glimpse of what Janelle was writing and wanted to be just a little over her?

Well, we hit a nationwide average of $2.61 last week and it is affecting everybooty. That's about .73 cents a gallon higher than one year ago. I got my oil changed at Saturn yesterday to help conserve fuel. Fuzzy in Caledonia showed me his piggy bank after he filled up yesterday...

I think I'm under a 48-hour traffic light curse. Yup. Every light between Anoka, MN and downtown La Crosse since yesterday morning. Even the handful of lights that are on at 4 AM up dere on Rose. With NO cross traffic! Had to take a crash course in aggressive driving again over the weekend. Has it been that long since I was in the Cities?! And another thing-I'm surrounded by morons. Having technical difficulties. 'You cannot dial the number you are trying to reach at this time. You are an idiot.' Where's my laptop? It's been over two weeks since I sent it out to get fixed! It's been a couple of frustrating days. A dog wrapped me in it's leash and slammed my face into a post. Almost got burned by fireworks. Cops were called. Slept on a floor. How old am I again?! How many cans does it take to get to the bottom of a 24-pack? Phew. I feel a little better. Thanks for letting me vent.

Almost forgot-had a horrible experience at a restaurant Sunday morning. When I order hot food, and it takes over 20 minutes, it better be hot when it gets to my table. And if I don't get it back by the time the rest of my party is done, I DON'T want it! And if you screw up my order, at least offer an APOLOGY!!! Lunds Restaurant on hiway 7 in Minnetonka---DON'T go there!! Hit the Perkins next door instead! Whew.

(They eventually boxed it up for me to take with me-but I had to take one of their forks to eat it. Free food with stolen cutlery is infinitely tastier.....)

You have to try on a pair of sunglasses with that stupid little plastic thing in the middle of them. The person behind you in the supermarket runs his cart into the back of your ankle.
The elevator stops on every floor and nobody gets on.
There's always a car riding your tail when you're slowing down to find an address.
You open a can of soup and the lid falls in.
There's a dog in the neighborhood that barks at EVERYTHING.
You can never put anything back in a box the way it came.
Your tire gauge lets out half the air while you're trying to get a reading.
There are always one or two ice cubes that won't pop out of the tray.
You wash a garment with a tissue in the pocket and your entire laundry comes out covered with lint.
The car behind you blasts its horn because you let a pedestrian finish crossing.
A piece of foil candy wrapper makes electrical contact with your filling (or braces).
You set the alarm on your digital clock for 7pm instead of 7am.
You rub on hand cream and can't turn the bathroom doorknob to get out.
People behind you on a supermarket line dash ahead of you to a counter just opening up.
Your glasses slide off your ears when you perspire.
You can't look up the correct spelling of a word in the dictionary because you don't know how to spell it.
You have to inform five different sales people in the same store that you're just browsing.
You had that pen in your hand only a second ago and now you can't find it.
You reach under the table to pick something off the floor and smash your head on the way up.

My First Trip To The Dells!

I felt like I was 12 years old again. Holy Moly-If you haven't been to Mt. Olympus at the Wisconsin Dells lately, there's a new super-fast, super-sick coaster called Hades that sends you plummeting into a dark tunnel under the parking lot at speeds up to 70 mph, out the other side, and back into the tunnel and out again......one of the most twisted rides I've ever been on! Plus, there's elevated go kart tracks, and they acquired the waterpark next door this year so there's tons of waterslides too! Including the long slides that should've been called the Wedgie Slide! Mt. Olympus-A big fat Wedgie Thumbs Up!!!!

Gimme a break. I've been making small strides in trying to spruce up my appearance. So with the latest haircut I received, I'm clueless as to what to do with it. There's still a bit of 'can't see it myself, don't care' attitude there. Back in the 80's it was a brush and a can of Aquanet and rat, rat, rat! Then I had a ponytail for over ten years. Again, don't know how to style. I just don't need to be ambushed by Kris & Stephanie and a can of hair spray in the middle of the show! On the other hand, it's not that often I have two chicks fawning over me.......

Football thoughts and a rant...

Kris here: I've been doing some thinking on The Packers Family Night scrimmage last week. I must say I am EXTREMLY relieved to be reading some great comments about the Packs "future QB". For having an "average" arm as some journalists have put it, Aaron Rodgers has some zip on his passes (not to mention throwing some catchable balls). I am excited for the season - but nervous as you know what too.....Will it be Favre's last season?

I've NEVER liked John Madden and late in the Hall of Fame game last week, Madden said the Packers were on their way down. Madden, you moron....just shut up and gum your oatmeal. He's obviously referencing the Family Night game where the pack was manhandled by the Buffalo Bills, 14-0, but ya know what? Drawing 62,492 for a meaningless scrimmage really speaks volumes about the Pack. There are a boatload of teams in the NFL that would like that kind of gate for a regular season ballgame. Nobody puts a lot of stock in preseason games. You know the veterans, when they play, don't give it 'their all'. Who wants to get a season ending injury not to mention a boo boo in a meaningless game. I think I have gotten off track here...but to Madden I say stick to what you do best: pointing, drawing little pictures and babbling.

Peter Jennings 1938-2005

Peter Jennings was the anchor we always turned to when there was something major going on. The warm, soothing persona that he portrayed on the air was apparently exactly who he was, according to those that knew him. Having done a little bit of time in a newsroom myself, I was always amazed at how seamless his reporting was when breaking news was coming in by the minute, and I always admired that. So long, my talking-head friend. You'll be missed greatly.

I extend a sincere apology to all our listeners. I have let you down. All I can ask for is your forgiveness. I have been told by Hunter that I have a 10 day suspension from shopping at any retail establishments that includes restaurants that sell merchandise, starting on Monday Aug. 8th.
